May Celebrations: Highlights of Vietnam Holidays and Festivities this Month

Labour Day in Vietnam, celebrated on May 1st, is a significant public holiday that honors the contributions of workers. Known locally as International Workers' Day, it is marked by various activities such as parades, speeches, and cultural events. The day reflects Vietnam's appreciation for the labor force and aligns with global observances of workers' rights and social achievements. It is a time for rest and recognition, with many people enjoying a day off work to spend with family and friends.

Mother’s Day was also celebrated on Sunday, May 12 in Vietnam as well as other countries around the world. Celebrated on the second Sunday of May, Mother's Day provides the opportunity to honor mothers, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society!
